A notebook is a great place to collect your thoughts after you've sought something out but before you've quite understood it.
This official Outer Wilds notebook measures about 5.5 by 8.5 inches and contains 128 pages. It was designed by Tony Kuchar, with illustrations by Saber Murphy.
The paper takes fountain pen ink without any bleed, which I wasn't expecting at this price. I've been using it to jot down theories while replaying, and the quotes printed at the bottom of each page make it feel like a real piece of the game.
The 5.5 by 8.5 size slips perfectly into my jacket pocket, so I've been carrying it everywhere while I replay the game. The pages take fountain pen ink without bleeding through, which I didn't expect at this price.
The size is fine for a bag but the cover feels thinner than I hoped for something meant to get tossed around. The dot grid is subtle enough that my sketches don't fight the lines. It does the job, just not the sturdy companion I pictured.
