The art in this is gorgeous, way better than I expected for a tie-in comic. Getting to see the year before the farmer shows up made me care about the townspeople in a whole new way. 144 pages went by too fast.
I didn't expect a 144-page prequel to make me this emotional, but the way it fills in the year before the new farmer shows up had me hooked by chapter three. Getting to see the townsfolk's lives before everything changes gave the whole valley a weight I wasn't ready for.
The artwork really captures the cozy feel of Pelican Town, and seeing the residents’ lives before the farmer arrives adds so much depth. I tore through all 144 pages in one sitting.
