The pencil texture on every page is incredible — you can see the actual hand-drawn strokes in the illustrations, which makes flipping through it feel way more personal than a typical digital art book. I've already gone back through the personal highlights section twice just to study the linework.
I didn't expect an art book to make me want to replay the whole game, but flipping through these hand-drawn pencil pieces did exactly that. Thousands of illustrations, and I keep noticing new details in the shading every time I open it.
The pencil work is gorgeous, and there are way more illustrations than I expected — thousands of them, apparently. That said, I wish there was more commentary from the artist on how each piece came together; it's mostly just the drawings with minimal text.
