Didn't expect the hardcover to feel this hefty, but the paper quality really does the pixel art justice. The annotations next to early sketches show how much of the ruined world got cut before release, which I wasn't expecting from an art book.
The hardcover binding feels substantial and the pages are thick enough that the colors really pop. I've spent hours just flipping through the concept sketches of the ruined world, and the section on early environment designs completely changed how I see the game.
The concept art section is the real draw here, especially the early environment sketches that show how the ruined world evolved. I just wish there were more commentary from the artists alongside the pieces. Still, a solid coffee table book for anyone who loved the game.
